I am Elizabeth Poe, the steward of The Joy of Knitting. I am a native Nashvillian, and follower of Jesus. My passion for knitting was ignited in my 20’s when looking through a magazine of Princess Diana modeling a few knitted sweaters. However, it wasn’t until the early 1990’s, after my daughter was born, that I began to pursue my love of knitting.
In 2012, I had saved enough to fund my yarn shop. Five months after opening, I left my day job. I have been bringing the finest the industry has to offer to fiber artists ever since. I love to teach all skill levels of knitting and crochet.
Knitting and crocheting have a special way of bringing community together, no matter the circumstance. God has abundantly blessed me with the gifts of encouragement and hospitality. At The Joy of Knitting, you will find both.
